This is our Aether Shell. Based on the same pattern as our Flagship shell, just without the paneling, this jacket is designed for situations when maximum heat and vapor transfer is paramount. Perfect for summer storms or humid trails, the Aether utilizes the developmental XCTB1B3/H2 fabric, a Dyneema Fiber + ePTFE membrane composite designed for maximum breathability at the lightest weight per yard possible.
The Aether Shell weighs in at a mere 5.5 oz for a size Large! It has fully adjustable cuffs, hood and waist. The cuffs feature reinforced sections of Dyneema Hybrid Fabric with snaps for adjustment. This method is lighter and less irritating than Velcro. The Hood has a reinforced brim with two side adjusters and the waist features a rear cinch.
There's a reason the two other companies who made a jacket with this material do not anymore. Painstaking construction is involved in every step of the process: each jacket takes around 5 hours to complete and utilizes 30 feet of seam tape! For that reason, this run is limited to 10 units.
Note: The included stuff sack best fits our Aether Shell folded into fourths length-wise and then rolled tightly. Our hood is form-fitting and will accommodate a hat but not a helmet.

Sizing:
Wear a shirt and measure under your arms, around the fullest part of you chest. Choose your jacket size based on chest girth below and preference. Models in photos are both wearing a size Large. David in brown pants is 6'1", 185 lbs, 42.5" chest and prefers a snug fit. Dean in blue jeans is 5'11", 155 lbs and prefers a looser fit in order to wear mid layers or a puffy underneath. If you're concerned about sizing, when in doubt, size up. A size too small is always worse than a size too large.
